About this project
Oakstone Winery is an established, family-owned winery in Fair Play, California, in the Sierra Foothills wine region. The goal was an elegant, visually engaging website that reflects the winery's atmosphere, history and premium wines while making it easy for customers to reserve a wine tasting, buy wine and discover upcoming events.
The site was built on WordPress with custom-designed backgrounds, personalised layouts and third-party software integrations, combining professional design with practical functionality that improves the visitor experience and streamlines winery operations.
One of the most important parts of the project was the custom 21+ age verification gateway in front of the online wine shop. Visitors confirm their date of birth before reaching any purchasing features, and successful verification is remembered so returning customers are not asked again. It is a genuine age-screening measure that never gets in the way of a good shopping experience.
The website also connects third-party reservation and e-commerce software, bringing tasting appointments, online wine purchasing, wine club memberships and events together within a single professional site.
